tim asked:

I’m just about to return a Transcend 16GB SDHC card to an Amazon trader because the card has suddenly died and cannot be seen or accessed by any computer or device. Apparently the term is “electronically dead”. Anyway, that’s just the back story… The trader has asked me to return the item to them as it has a lifetime warranty. I have not kept any of the original packaging and all I have is the card and the card reader it came with. I’m gonna take a punt and see if the Amazon trader is happy to accept the item back like this, and as it is dead and so I have nothing to lose anyway.

I will package it up smartly and securely and see if I can blag one of those little see-through SD card cases from a friend before I send it, but in your opinion, am I likely to get a replacement item seeing as all I have is the card and the reader, with no original packaging?
