I’m considering setting up a secure server with my old computer so that I can access a large hard drive it is connected to without having to carry a big hard drive with me everywhere I go with my new smart phone. If I make sure it’s secure and only I have access to the contents, is this illegal? In this sense, I’m talking songs, videos, etc.
Please note, I am talking about material I have paid for and personally own.
I’m wondering if there is a secure internet site online that would allow a friend to set up her address and let me send her gifts without knowing her address? I’m beginning an online relationship and would love to send my new girlfriend a gift, but I know she wouldn’t feel comfortable giving me her address yet. What can I do?
I need to fax something from overseas and it is hard to send a paper fax here. Does anyone know of a online fax service that is free or affordable for individuals (not businesses) and that is secure?
We should have been switched to a different service provider by now (with long distance) but I am still stuck with the old service. Meaning I can’t send some very important documents from my home line.
If there are any such services out there how would I go about getting the documents into a digital format such as a DOC or PDF file?
right, okay well i recently installed internet explorer 8 and when i go on to the o2 website (www.o2.co.uk) .. then i click on send a free text message but it diverts you to the login bit.
then it comes up with a security warning saying do you only want to view the web page content that was delivered securely
??
and when i login with correct user-name and password it doesn’t load the page
and at the top it says the web address is about:blank
what the hell is going on and how can i solve this problem??
many thanks x
So, when i log into myspace i get sent to a page that says…

how do i do those things? im not very good with computers when it comes to stuff like that so if theres a REALLY easy way to fix this PLEASE help me!! =]
I recently sold something on ebay and tonight I have bought something. I went on paypal but apparently they are withholding the money owed to me from the buyer and won’t give it to me until i either get positive feedback from the buyer or it’s been 21 days. I cannot expect my buyer to wait that long and I am certainly not going to send my item until that money is securely in my account.
Before I knew all this, I bought somthing on ebay which requires immediate payment. Now I do not have the funds to pay for it
Also, each time I go on paypal, I get to a page which asks for my bank account number as it is a security measure. Ibelieve this to be a fake site. I can get round it by clicking on the paypal logo at the top of the page, but I don’t know why it always does this.
My dad offered to pay for this ebay item, but because this fake page comes up, it won’t register that we are buying this item.
It is so annoying. How can I get round these 2 issues?
Everytime i try to login it sends me to this…
