Open up a new browser window. Type in make sure the site you are on has in the address bar. Then you can log into your paypal a/c safely. If you see the transaction listed in your a/c you are ok. If not you have a problem.

You got scammed. PayPal does not work that way. There is never a confirmation of shipping. There doesn’t even have to be a product involved to transfer money. If the money is not in the PayPal account right now you have been scammed.

No, that’s the real deal. Paypal and ebay have this thing they do to first time sellers now, you must send the item out and either receive positive feedback from the buyer or three days after you provide proof of delivery for the item, that is when paypal will release the funds to you. stinks huh. If you have further questions for them call them directly at 1-888-221-1161. And the part about any email that looks suspicious is correct, if you ever get an email asking you to provide information, don’t use it, forward it to ( or ebay). Both venues will never ask for information on an email.

The contents of this email are not important.

Where the email came from is. Did it come from paypal.com? Did log into PayPal and verify these funds were actually sent to you?

You might be OK, but I hope you learned to never do this again. Craigslist is for in person cash transactions only. Anything else will cause you problems.
