How can I customize shoes with rhinestones/crystals?

send securely
kittylitter777 asked:

I’d like to know the process of customizing my own shoes with rhinestones, diamantes, crystals, etc myself. I don’t want to send them off anywhere as I’d like to be able to do them myself. Either a whole shoe or just the heel or just the strap. Can someone let me know what specific materials (glue, varnish, type of crystal, etc) I need and the actual process of applying them to the shoe securely? Thanks in advance!

Use E6000 glue – it smell pretty bad but it’s what we use to set rhinestones on costumes.

they have this infomercial on TV that shows his thing called GemMagic. YOu can use it to put stones, crystals, and whatnot on to just about everything. You get 300 stomes/crystals and a lot of design patterns, the machine , and a mini machine to get into pockets, luggage and shoes. It’s for the low price of 2 payments of $19.95 but they double your whole order so you get 2 of everything for like $40 and shipping and handling. Good luck and have Happy Holidays!

have a look on ebay for iron-on rinestones. you just heat them and they stick to whatever you put them on. simple. another way is to get some crystal/sparkly acrylic sequins – like beads except the holes go through front to back so you can sew them on. use fishing wire and it will be see through – this would be more hard wearing and less messy than glue. if you get it wrong, you won’t be left with a big patch of glue and a ruined pair of shoes!
