How can I send personal info. to a website securely?

I was subscribing to a magazine but there is no “lock” showing that it is secure. Is their a way to secure this?

    If it is not a secure site, don’t trust it. It’s that simple.

    To be blunt No there isnt a way to secure this. The lock you see on the bottom of the browser window means that the server is using SSL or Secure Socket Layer and has a verifiable Certificate through VeriSign or some other viable Security Authority.
