Good luck! (Or, I should say, don’t hold yer breath!) HP has pros who’ll be able to get past anything you can do to protect against outsider access.
If you mean, protect your info from getting destroyed, then back it up, like REALLY CAREFULLY and THOROUGHLY! I can tell you that, because my HP overheated twice in its first year of life, and when I sent it to HP, it came back factory-fresh.
I had to rebuild it from backups. Fortunately my backups were good enough it took only two or three days of boring drudgery (including software re-installs).
Ever see NCIS where “Abs” sneaks into the protected computers? It’s true.
Take out the hard disk. I do this for a living. No matter how tightly you lock it down there’s always a way in.
