I’ve had an infuriating time of it, finding my size after years of discomfort wearing the wrong ones, and I’ve just about got it nailed down. But I’m in sizes no store carries, certainly not in soft-cup, so I order online. I started with the recommended 42F after measuring in my “best fitting bra” (which of course doesn’t fit) and found it lacking. Well, I’ve worked out the band size necessary to hold things up enough, but the cup size is now threatening to rise to an I-cup or higher based upon my most recent order that included a 38H. My concern is that the H cup still did not separate the ******* completely, that is, there’s a visible cleavage line but the bra covers the flesh without bulging. I will probably try to test a higher cup size but it’s so tedious ordering that I ask here, is that as good as it gets in these sizes? It fits securely, with good support. But how much I can hope for in my size, and should I send these back? Each cup size up slashes the number of choices.
And please don’t recommend a professional fitting… I’ve read around about them and really doubt there’s any help there, what with the likelihood of the fitter trying to get me into a larger band size (which have been field-tested by me and which have failed) and the fact that, well, I’d have to be wearing a properly sized bra just to be measured, and if I don’t have it and they don’t carry it, well, there you go.

Definately!!!! Like you Ive done all the measuring, et al and the sizes that go with them did not work for me. It is very frustrating! Even large size stores only carry up to DD maybe a DDD and if they have them it is difficult to find the larger cups with smaller band sizes. I feel your pain!
When you find the fit and style, may I suggest buying as many as your budget allows. My experience is shortly after I find them, they are discontinued. LOL
I have so been where you are with the professional fitting as well!! They told me I needed to be in such a large band size that in less then a week the bra would be stretched some and no longer support anything. I think I am “supposed to wear a 42 or something…but anything bigger than 38 doesn’t work for me. BUT I will say this, if you go to a specialty store, that sells only bras…at least the few Ive been to, carry the larger sizes. I go through the fitting, try on bras, leave without buying. Then go back and try on in the size YOU want and buy what you want…explaining you’ve already been fitted, thanks! good luck!
