I had this computer guy “help” me with my computer yesterday, something that should have taken 5 minutes took 5 hours and it made me worse off than i was at the beginning. he then said i/my computer problems were driving him crazy and he cut off the conversation and said “not today”. i emailed him to ask about the changes he made me do yet he has not replied.
Do i email him again? Do i accept there are simply more security risks rather than less when i started? i have some urgent work i need to get done this weekend and need to make sure i send it securely over email. im so distracted about the security sending it i cant do the work i need to get done myself.
what do i do? email him? accept he cut me off via email/IM?
if anyone knows anything about Tor add on of Firefox please could you contact me over email to discuss it? (its just a question about security levels- it will not take five hours promise
)
thanks
I installed it because HE TOLD ME TO.

Fire fox is pretty good when it comes to security..
just make sure you have your windows fire wall on.
torr basically is a poxy for a ip address so you cant trace your ip if your email if sent to right email address should be secure if you are worried that Much then you need some kind of encryption not tor
“Tor add-on of Firefox”
Why do you think you need it?
If you don’t know what it does AND you installed it anyway, that EXPLAINS why your tech guy gave up after 5 hours.
BTW, I’ll just bet he did tell you that the only way to repair your PC was to do a full legal Windows “Clean Install” and start over, due to malware. Either you said no, or didn’t have the legal software.
Here’s how to do your own Windows “Clean Install”:
If you can still use your e-mail then do your work and send it on it’s way. What are you afraid will happen without this so-called tor thingy? Your e-mail is secure enough as it is unless you are a spy and some other spy is hacking you or your’re trying to be anonymous.
