What sort of things am I allowed or not allowed to send my deployed fiance?

send securely
hollerrr.attaballer asked:

He’s in the Navy and currently on a ship in the Persian Gulf. I wanna send him some food/drinks that they don’t have access to on the ship out there but I don’t know what he has or doesn’t have and I want this to be a surprise!! Also are there any rules about what I cannot send (I’m guessing **** and booze is out of the question!!)? And any tips on how to mail it safely and securely?? I’ve heard that a lot of soldiers and sailors get moldy nastiness instead of care packages because things get wet, etc. Trying to prevent that…
Any tips are very appreciated!!!

Everything gets delivered in a package ” sealed “.

But Your Guess Is Completely Wrong ….. Ofcourse You May Send Him A Bottle Of Wine ( Don’t Send ****.. Send Few Nice Lovely Pics Of Your Own And He Will Appreciate That More ! )

when my brother was over seas we sent him quite a few care packages. We sent him…. magazines, newspapers, inexpensive handheld games (like yahtzee, and poker), disposable cameras (we developed them when he got home), portable cd player with headsets, cd’s that we burned ourselves with a compalation of songs, pictures of friends and family, as far as food……beef jerky, peanuts in a shell, cookies (sent in a cookie tin, and packed tight), candy bars, hard candy like jolly ranchers, energy mix (peanuts raisins, sunflower seeds)
If you go to Walgreens they have the food aisle directly across from the refridgerated food that is all packaged and easy to send. Just dont pack it in a huge box, keep it managable, and use a lot of stuffing so nothing moves around a lot. good luck, and god bless. :)

my boyfriend just left for his third deployment so i figure he knows what i can and can’t send him, and these are the kinds of things on the list he left with me of things to send him:

    chewing/bubble gum
    fruit roll ups
jolly ranchers(basically any candy besides chocolate is a good idea)
    fruit cups
    beef jerky
    cashews
    cajan trail mix
    sunflower seeds
easy mac(if he has a microwave)
the Army Times(or whatever the Navy equivalently is if they have one)
zip drives with pics of us and pics that he wouldnt want the guys in his squad to see(if you get my drift)

some other things i’m going to send his are letters and drawings i’ve done since he’s been gone and the new batman gotham knight dvd that’s coming out soon since he’ll still be gone when the new batman movie comes out.

you know your boyfriend so you should know the type of things that will keep his spirits up :D
